  family members of mine use to be in this cult. I give it two stars because there are actually some clueless nice people there. That have no idea what gos on behind the scenes and all the reporting on members behind their backs which gos on there. The other negative reviews are pretty much on point. Although my family members didn't experience most of it. They left because they were seeing it go on with friends. I'm not a Christian so my perspective is better I believe in that I'm looking at it with better set of eyes. Child sex abuse and their covering it up did it for me when my brother told our parents about it. Clearly they need to protect the kids. After reading the other reviews I must agree find another place to do your church.

  This place gets a one star from me and my husband. We attended for a few months last year and after listening to a Sunday school class that was the last day for me. Of course the pastor's sermons raised red flags as well.
  Bottom line is the reviews are true when they talk about not respecting women. What was upsetting was the fact that one of the teachers in Sunday school discussed women giving her husband sex all the time and if she didn't she's in sin.
  This is not a place for strong Christian women who are equals with their husbands. My husband respects me and I love and respect him. If I do not feel like it or if I'm not feeling well at any time he is respectful and does not expect me to do anything that would make me unhappy.

  My sister in law attended this church. My wife and I came down and visited for a few weeks after they left the church. We decided to attend while we were here and I believe the other reviews say it all. I could go into what we observed but I think my one star review is plenty. It looks to me like they have all the aspects of a cult going on. I do need to elaborate on the fact that they teach that God sends people to hell. The pastor believes that God chooses to send people to hell and he chooses other to go to heaven. Really? This guy is a whack job because when I asked one of their elders or whatever's in this church to show me where it says only the elect the guy couldn't get away from me fast enough.

  I guess lakeside bible church contacts google and google deletes reviews given by people who try to give their experience with a business. Google this is not just a non profit but a Corporation. I would read the other one and two stars reviews what they are saying about this place is true. If you still choose to go here after reading, well good luck don't say no one warned you.
  Very controlling, in your business, the Pastor and Elders have all the answers because they are given directly from God through their prayers. If They all come to an agreement on a matter and you go against it you should tremble, I mean tremble if you disobey according to the leadership in this place.

  Went here for a few months the people seemed ok but as you listen on to the pastors sermons women and children are not really respected. They are expected to obey and serve their husbands, children are to be completely obedient this church tried to recommend BABY WISE if you never heard of it join the club. A lot of the mothers follow this disastrous book to a T even placing babies on the parents feeding and sleep schedules not the babies, children are expected to obey and if they so much as interrupt a conversation or argue after one or two times they are paddled. The baby wise author who is a monster by the way believes children as young as 6months should be spanked if disobedient and these foolish parents recommend and follow this nut job of an author. The men in this church are rulers of their homes. Sure they talk about elevating women but pay close attention to the pastors sermons they say something different when referencing gender roles. My husband even agreed that this pace is authoritarian. Good luck from the reviews I have read here don't say no one told you so.
